Experience varied landscapes and local cultures with this trek that crosses over from Langtang to Helambu via the pilgrimage site of Gosainkund lake set amid majestic scenery.

A varied trek that starts with the trek up the Langtang Valley, then on the return goes to the sacred lakes at Gosainkund and crosses over the Laurebina pass to the attractive and welcoming Sherpa villages of Helambu. An extra day may be planned at Kyanjin Gompa with optional excursions, for example a long day’s trek up the valley to Langshisha Kharka and back, entering the magnficent landscapes of the upper valley. A popular day’s climb is Tsergo Ri (4984m) or directly above Kyanjin Gompa you can climb Kyangjin Ri going on from the first summit to the second summit at 4665m. A visit to the cheese factory at Kyanjin Gompa is popular.

Langtang Gosainkund Helambu Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01:		Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m) via Trisuli Bazar and Dunche. 8 hours
Day 02:		Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2420m) 6 hours.
Day 03:		Lama Hotel to Langtang (3330m) 5 hours.
Day 04:		Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3700m) 3.5 hours.
Day 05:		Rest in Kyanjin Gompa. Optional excursions.
Day 06:		Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2420m) 6 hours.
Day 07:		Lama Hotel to Thulo Syaphru(2250m) 6 hours
Day 08:		Thulo Syaphru to Shin Gompa (3250m) 5 hours
Day 09:		Shin Gompa to the sacred lakes of Gosainkund (4380m) 5 hours
Day 10:		Gosainkund to Ghopte (3430m) crossing Laurebina Pass (4610m) 8 hours
Day 11:		Ghopte to Melamchigaon (2530m) the Tharepati pass (3510m)
Day 12:		Melamchigaon to Tarkhegyang (2740m)
Day 13:		Tarkhegyang to Sermathang (2590m) then on to Kakani (1996m) 6-7 hours
Day 14:		Kakani to Melamchipulbazar(870m) – 3 hours. Return to Kathmandu by bus - 4 hours
